General Newspaper Feedback:

“We've just put the undergroundmap on the wall and are fighting about who is on the coolest line (that's teachers not students by the way!). Initial reaction is that we can't wait to use it in the classroom -could be a few more bigger images in there...We'll use it with students next week (weds) and email you some more feedback”

Mary Berrisford, Islington

“MediaMe looks great. Works really well with the colour, etc. Mega achievement.”

Jenny Grahame, Media Magazine editor and our client for this project

Amazingly positive feedback given here. Really happy with both of them. I eagerly await any more that we may get. It's brilliant to see the positive way in which our work is being applied to learning.

Accounts Information

Outgoings

500 copies from Newspaper Club - £500 inc VAT
Postage for first three orders - £11.40

Income:
Junction Advertisement - £350
Lincoln Advertisement - £100
OCR Advertisement - £100

Guernsey 20 copies - £10
Netherhall 30 copies - £15
Islington 40 copies - £20
Reigate 120 copies - £60

Free samples and copies for group members, moderator etc (50 copies - £25 off eventual profit).

Still to sell - 240 copies.

The adverts alone make a profit of £50 for the newspaper. They alone pay off the printing fee of the newspapers (excluding the postage cost of £11.40). If you add on the £95 income we made from selling the newspapers to buyers than this brings that total up to £145. Still having 240 copies to sell means that we have a potential £120 more profit to bring in (bearing in mind the addition of the postage costs).

I was very please that I managed to (with the help of Sam) procure the newspaper adverts. Without them it would have caused an enormous dent in our potential profits. So big in fact that we would have had to bring the cost of the newspaper up from 50 pence to over a pound to simply break even, not to mention the cost of giving free copies to those requiring them. In total I am extremely pleased with the outcome.
